It is my great pleasure to invite you to the joint meeting of the 5th International Consultation on Interstitial Cystitis Japan (ICICJ) and the 2024 Annual Meeting of the European Society for the Study of Interstitial Cystitis (ESSIC), which will be held in Kyoto on August 21 (Wed) and 23 (Fri), 2024.

This three-day hybrid meeting (in-person & online participants) will discuss the diagnosis and treatment of interstitial cystitis, in particular the Hunner lesion.

A special lecture, three workshops, and a general oral poster presentation session are scheduled. The proceedings of this joint meeting will be published in a special issue of the International Journal of Urology, the official English journal of the Japanese Urological Association, and the American Scientific Journals.

This very important meeting provides you an excellent opportunity to communicate with key international opinion leaders in the field of interstitial cystitis.

    ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

  • General Guidance
    1. The abstract submission is only received through our online registration system (please be aware that we DO NOT ACCEPT any registration through E-MAIL). Please register at the below registration website first, then submit your abstract (create an account→registration→abstract submission）
    2. The presentation format is either general oral presentation or poster presentation. Please indicate your preference in the "Message" field when registering your abstract.
    3. Abstracts must be submitted only in English (Abstract in Japanese will not be accepted).
    4. In principle, the first author is considered to be the presenting author. The first author must obtain consent from all co-authors before submitting the abstract for presentation.
    5. Please verify that your e-mail address is correct as it will be used for correspondence purposes.
    6. The ICICJ Steering Committee decides whether or not to adopt the abstract.
    7. Please note that the acceptance of an abstract does not imply funding from ICICJ.
    8. All presentations should be performed with respect to national and international legislation, and ethical guidelines both with regard to humans and animal protection.
    9. All accepted abstracts will be published in the Congress Abstract Book (online only). Please note that the abstracts may be edited to conform to the abstract book format.
    10. For poster presentation, there is time for poster discussion.
    11. After the conference, the proceedings will be published in the International Journal of Urology. Please note that you may be asked to submit your presentation.
